Club rides and activities
Although there is a central committee responsible for the
basic organisation of the club, most club activities are organised on a section
basis. Currently there are sections based in:

ACTIVITIES include day RIDES to suit all
tastes. These include club rides suitable for all the family run at a very
easy pace usually including refreshment stops, some longer distance rides
plus other events for very old machines, lightweights and other specialist
machines. There are also weekend and week long CAMPS with daily rides and
other activities. The Club and its members are regularly invited to
participate in PARADES and static DISPLAYS at shows and other large events
around the country. There is also an extensive social calendar throughout
the year including club evenings and dinners. |
It should be stressed that the Veteran Cycle Club is a
FAMILY CLUB where everyone is welcome, young or old. Many of the rides are
multi-paced or slow paced so nobody need feel left behind.
Although certain special events may be restricted to
certain types or age of machine, most section runs are open to any machine that
a member wishes to ride, or thinks will interest other members.
