IVCA Rally 2008 - Beaulieu

Wednesday 7th to Saturday 11th May

This year the UK is hosting the International Veteran Cycle Association Annual Rally. The last time this event was held in the UK was 1994 and who knows when it will be here again. Seize the chance, therefore, and take this opportunity to experience this cosmopolitan event.

The rally is being held at the National Motor Museum, Beaulieu, Hampshire. This is a fantastic venue which is full of lots of interesting things and we are very grateful to them for agreeing to host our event there.

More information about Beaulieu can be found at http://www.beaulieu.co.uk/

What is the rally all about? It's for pre-1940 machines and gives a chance for people from all over the world to meet together to socialise, exchange information and experience lots of different types of machines.

Events planned for the rally include:

Gentle cycle rides around the area

Fun cycle games

World record attempt Penny Stack - we hope to break the existing record of 131 which was achieved at Leicester in 2003.

Cycle jumble

Costume ride - this will be dedicated to the memory of Arthur Wright, a long time supporter of the IVCA, who sadly died last year.

Registration forms and information can be found on the rally web site www.ivcarally2008.org.uk

The booking fee for the whole rally is £120. This fee includes all evening meals from Wednesday through to the gala dinner on Saturday, lunches from Thursday to Saturday, entry to both National Motor Museum (and associated attractions) and Bucklers Hard and rally souvenir. We are taking over the rally field on the museum site which is suitable for everything from tents to motor homes. Toilets, showers and water will be available there.

Please note that all meals need to be pre-booked and therefore we cannot guarantee being able to offer meals to entrants whose forms have not reached us before April 2nd.

If there you have any queries, please contact    info@ivcarally2008.org.uk
