Changes to V-CC Committee

At the meeting on 23rd January 2008 the following new members were co-opted on to the committee:

At the special meeting held on 16th February the following additional members were elected:

Mike Sims - Honorary Secretary

Ian Newton - Committee Member

Hilary Stone - Committee Member

Lee Healey Co. Ltd (Manufacturers of spiral-wired solid tyring)

We have heard from Peter Ostenfeld of Lee Healey Co. Ltd. that they will now be continuing with the manufacture of spiral-wired solid tyring. Peter writes:

"I am writing to inform you that we have given full consideration to the request that we continue tyre production, and have been persuaded to continue this product line. The specialist equipment and skill have been relocated to our Manchester factory and we are now able to offer production from Mid June.

Unfortunately due to time to produce this product with traditional rubber manufacturing methods with our highly skilled craftsman, we have been forced to revise our prices to provide a commercial return.
